Aside: I have an unfortunate prediction however, at the time of writing this, the video has gone viral and has enjoyed over 20 million views! While it’s success is greatly serving it’s purpose and a general good, I also see an unfortunate by-product.
What is it you ask?
Whenever you get a mass of people moving in the same direction, the powers that be get nervous. They will get nervous at the thought that perhaps the masses will eventually turn against them. Can you actually imagine a government that has no choice but to actually be FOR the people rather than for it’s friends and businesses? My prediction is simple, those in power will learn of the strength of this movement and become afraid. They will implement laws restricting the internet to prevent this from happening and will mask their actions, “For our own good” or something like that.
It’ll be a sad day when that happens.
We need to be aware that by our actions, albeit towards a good, may turn and bite us in the ass. We’ll need to be prepared for this and when it happens and not stand idly by and let the internet be controlled.
