You Want to Be A Model? I Can Help. by Paul Buceta Comment (1)

I have helped lots of models start their careers and in many cases helped launch them to great successes. Do you have what it takes to be a great model? Are you willing to work hard at it? If so, I can help...

Getting Back on That Bike - Vegas Style by Paul Buceta Comment (0)
I was commissioned by www.bodyinmind.com to go to Las Vegas to shoot 2 Page3 models they were flying in from the UK. This is one of those kind of dream jobs where you get flown away to shoot beautiful women. Life is good - So good in fact, that I am going to launch my first ever nude set. Look out for it as it'll probably be live in a day or so.

The Irony of Being Paul Buceta by Paul Buceta Comment (2)

When I first started out in photography I would look at the magazines with the beautiful women and dream of one day being able to capture such beauty.  I worked hard at improving my lighting, my composition, my everything photographic – To the point of obsessiveness.  I can’t count how many nights I have lost sleep pondering angles and lighting or locations and styles.

At The Playboy Mansion with The Shannon Twins and The Girls Next Door (6 pics) by Paul Buceta Comment (0)
A few months ago I got asked to fly down to LA to shoot the Shannon twins at the Playboy Mansion while The Girls Next Door film crew recorded the whole thing. I thought I should be nervous about the whole thing but I actually didn't even give it a thought. I just added it to my shooting schedule and went on working.

Phantom Limb and Los Cabos by Paul Buceta Comment (0)
I'm on a plane flying back from the pool party in Los Cabos and after a week of living in flip flops, I find I have a strange sensation where the thong of the sandal goes. It's a weird feeling, one I suspect to be similar to a phantom limb. I miss Los Cabos. More than my feet miss sandals.

My Pool Party is Here! by Paul Buceta Comment (0)
Ok, so it's the night before I have to get on a plane for my annual pool party in Los Cabos and I haven't even finished packing. I'm still doing laundry from my trip to Miami and that won't be ready for a while.

Market Perception... by Paul Buceta Comment (0)

Interesting... I was just having a conversation with my dad about investing in real estate and stock market investing - When he hit me with the notion that I shouldn't assume the markets may ever recover. I've always known that anything is only worth what people are willing to pay for it but I never considered what the true value of a home is. Generally speaking, a house is only worth the cost to build it, plus the land, minus depreciation. With regards to the stock market, even though the markets are down a lot from their lofty highs, they are still not sustainable based on their current valuations. What exactly does this mean? I have some ideas.

One to One With Apple by Paul Buceta Comment (0)

Ok so I went in to the Apple store with Elle Patille this morning for a video training seminar. We went because Elle wants to learn how to edit videos for her sexy site ellepatille.com and I don't have the kind of patience needed to sit through and teach her myself - She's A LOT of work... (Yes, I'm a dead man) But wait, it get worse, or better depending on your point of view...

So I went to the Arnold Classic this last weekend and had quite the blast. With me was fellow photographer Jacqueline Megaw and my girl Valeria Nova. We didn't travel by conventional methods... We took a bus with the crew of MuscleMag and Oxygen Magazine.  Lets just say the girls weren't on their best behavior.

No, I didn't spell it wrong... Although I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Now, I have a general rule where I don't like to speak negatively about anyone or anything on my site but I have to make an exception in the case of The Huracan Cafe in Punta Cana.

Is It Better In the Bahamas?! by Paul Buceta Comment (0)

I haven’t taken a vacation in my life where I didn’t even get a picture of myself. What’s more, I was in bed before midnight every night and up early every morning. I ate very well and drank very little. It might not seem like a tough thing to do but the ‘all inclusive’ lifestyle is very hard to keep in check.

Here are some pics from our second last trip to Vegas. Take note of the sizes of the drinks. They are some killer strong (and big) rum and cokes. I think the girls had 3 or 4 each!!! My bar tab came out to $350.00 for the afternoon!

Determining Photogenic'ness by Paul Buceta Comment (0)

I had a shoot today with 8 or so models for an agency.

As the models walked in I would evaluate them based on their movements and confidence. I can almost pinpoint which models will be very good at posing and which ones will require a little more work.

Is pantsed an actual word? Spell check doesn't think so. But I sure know it exists.

Take the other day for instance, I was shooting some exercise spreads when I decided to try one of the routines.
When Elle walks up behind me to 'spot' me.

Not the Usual Suspects by Paul Buceta Comment (0)

I little while back I had a shoot with a couple of body builders. This is not something I shoot all that often (Although you'd be surprised how much I do) because I love women more. It's hard for me to say things like "Yeah buddy, arch your back - That's hot!" Somehow, it just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Needless to say, when I do shoot the man meat, as I like to refer to it, I'm always very happy with the results.

Here's a shot I did with Lee Priest and Rusty Jeffers working out.
