When I first started out in photography I would look at the magazines with the beautiful women and dream of one day being able to capture such beauty.  I worked hard at improving my lighting, my composition, my everything photographic – To the point of obsessiveness.  I can’t count how many nights I have lost sleep pondering angles and lighting or locations and styles.

Well, not exactly IN Rehab...

Interesting... I was just having a conversation with my dad about investing in real estate and stock market investing - When he hit me with the notion that I shouldn't assume the markets may ever recover. I've always known that anything is only worth what people are willing to pay for it but I never considered what the true value of a home is. Generally speaking, a house is only worth the cost to build it, plus the land, minus depreciation. With regards to the stock market, even though the markets are down a lot from their lofty highs, they are still not sustainable based on their current valuations. What exactly does this mean? I have some ideas.

Ok so I went in to the Apple store with Elle Patille this morning for a video training seminar. We went because Elle wants to learn how to edit videos for her sexy site ellepatille.com and I don't have the kind of patience needed to sit through and teach her myself - She's A LOT of work... (Yes, I'm a dead man) But wait, it get worse, or better depending on your point of view...

A little while back I had written about how Jackie got the nick-name "Knuckles". For those who don't remember, it was because her knuckles are red, or rather not as fair as the rest of her.

So I went to the Arnold Classic this last weekend and had quite the blast. With me was fellow photographer Jacqueline Megaw and my girl Valeria Nova. We didn't travel by conventional methods... We took a bus with the crew of MuscleMag and Oxygen Magazine.  Lets just say the girls weren't on their best behavior.

I agreed to do a quick test with a model today for a couple of magazines I work for. I don't usually work on weekends as I have a bunch of personal commitments to get to but I really wanted to work with this girl for some time now. Meet Sandra-Ann

No, I didn't spell it wrong... Although I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Now, I have a general rule where I don't like to speak negatively about anyone or anything on my site but I have to make an exception in the case of The Huracan Cafe in Punta Cana.

Ok, so I get requests to shoot models for tests for Playboy all the time.
They are always surprised to hear that I don't charge for Playboy tests as apparently there are other photographers that do.

But it did make me laugh...

I was looking over google maps and decided to take a look for some of the different resorts I've been to for shoots. I did find a few;

I suppose all good things must, at some point, come to an end.  So it's with heartfelt sadness I announce that Lori Fabrizio has left the team. After four amazing and memorable years of working together, Lori Fabrizio has decided to tackle a new career.

Ok, so I went out for lunch today with Jacqueline Megaw. At the studio we call her knuckles...  I actually wasn't planning on explaining why but why not, I have the time.

I've been wanting to get into some really good shape for quite some time now.
I've been going to the gym and getting better but haven't really had much direction, ambition or motivation to get into killer shape.

I had a few photographer friends over last night to watch the latest UFC.
Jacqueline Megaw, Kris Josef and Ward LaForme Jr. joined me for drinks and fisticuffs.

I haven’t taken a vacation in my life where I didn’t even get a picture of myself. What’s more, I was in bed before midnight every night and up early every morning. I ate very well and drank very little. It might not seem like a tough thing to do but the ‘all inclusive’ lifestyle is very hard to keep in check.

If you've ever taken the time to read further back in my journal, you would have noticed a bunch of entries regarding Liz Hubbard. I used to refer to her as the nuts in my gum.

Last year I threw a pool party, took a few pics and posted them online.
At the time I didn't give it a whole hell of a lot of thought but within two weeks of posting my pool party pics I was inundated with over 200 emails from people who wanted to be invited to the next one.

Ashley Byford comes into the studio the other morning laughing that she had a rip in her pants on the weekend.I didn't think much about it as I think we've all pretty much have experienced the same thing.

 Here are some pics from our second last trip to Vegas. Take note of the sizes of the drinks. They are some killer strong (and big) rum and cokes. I think the girls had 3 or 4 each!!! My bar tab came out to $350.00 for the afternoon!

So I came into the studio hungry for some cereal and what do I find???

I was in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago for the Olympia.
While there, I rode the single scariest ride ever - The X Scream at the Stratosphere.

I've been shooting some stuff piecemeal here and there and lately I've really been loving the results.

The title says it all!

So I'm working with Marisa Nero tomorrow for American Curves Magazine.

When I first met her, I couldn't believe the resemblance to Trish Stratus. I actually thought she WAS Trish when she walked in.

I had a shoot today with 8 or so models for an agency.

As the models walked in I would evaluate them based on their movements and confidence. I can almost pinpoint which models will be very good at posing and which ones will require a little more work.

Is pantsed an actual word? Spell check doesn't think so. But I sure know it exists.

Take the other day for instance, I was shooting some exercise spreads when I decided to try one of the routines.
When Elle walks up behind me to 'spot' me.

I had the good fortune of meeting ex - WWE DIVA Trish Stratus a little while ago.
She came by the studio for a shoot shortly after returning from a trip to Vietnam.

A long time ago I had emailed Maggie Diubaldo to shoot some conceptual stuff. Her reply back then was rather cold and abrupt - So much so, that I decided not to shoot her. I remember thinking she was an asshole... lol.

I don't know what I was thinking...

I got the notion that I need a little more one day and kinda ran with the idea.

Now, I'm kinda regretting it as my life is upside down.

We drink a lot of Corona at the studio.
We buy it partially because of the taste and partially because of the association to vacations.

I work quite a lot with the fitness editor for Oxygen Magazine; Pam Mazzuca.

She's awesome to work with and knows more about fitness and the human body than anyone I know.

I miss the old days where I would do a journal entry every day.

I've been thinking lately about what's changed in my life and how that's affected my journals.
I think I figured it out...

I caught a glimpse of an actress just recently while changing channels - Selma Blair.

 I had the pleasure of working with Jamie Eason the other day.  If you don't know who she is google her name - She's like the hottest thing on this planet. I want one... screw it, while I'm dreaming, I'll take a couple Jamies.

Busted!!!

I little while back I had a shoot with a couple of body builders. This is not something I shoot all that often (Although you'd be surprised how much I do) because I love women more. It's hard for me to say things like "Yeah buddy, arch your back - That's hot!" Somehow, it just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Needless to say, when I do shoot the man meat, as I like to refer to it, I'm always very happy with the results.
