An On-Line Journal

2003 03 15 - Looking for love in all the wrong places.

Having cleaned out my basement I have completely filled a box with old pictures.
To make room, I have decided to begin the long tedious task of scanning all my pictures to my computer. I then plan to buy a DVD writer to transfer them.

In the scanning process I have found pictures of friends and acquaintances from days gone by.
Here's a shot of me in Cuba when I was 18.

I have lost touch with everyone in this picture.

I remember a trip I took with two other friends Kenny and Rodney to Ft. Lauderdale earlier the same year.

During this trip I met a couple of girls named Kathy and Kristin Harvey.
If I remember correctly they were down with Kristin's parents.
I really got along well with Kathy and had always wondered what happened to her.
I'm going to see if I can find her last name to see if I can find her on-line. I believe they lived in Indiana. The odds are against me as I'm sure she has probably married.
Here are a couple of pics from past snail mail correspondence.

(In order left to right, Kathy, Kathy, Kirstin)

Look familiar to anyone?

Why are we so susceptible to romance when we go on trips?
Can it be that we let down our guard when away from home?
Perhaps it's because we know time is limited and want to make the most out of it.

Either way, I'm going to Las Vegas in April.
