An On-Line Journal

2003 03 17 - Yoooo Hoooo, Mr Spielberg.....

I was wondering how I could make my website a more fun place to visit.
I'm convinced that without great content no amount of fancy web design will entertain visitors long enough to make them want to bookmark my site.

My thought process was simple, what skills do I have and how can I apply them to my site?

1. I am always 'on' as a comedian.
2. I can work both a still and video camera.
3. I can edit both video and still pictures.
4. I have connections in the industry that can help me.

All of this led me to my final conclusion that I should put together small video clips of me doing funny things, in funny scenarios or just simply being funny.
I'm pretty sure that I could put something together on a regular basis to upload to my site.

The objective???
To be ready when Stephen Spielberg, Martin Scorsese or George Lucas drop by the site.
(Hi guys)

My biggest concerns will be bandwidth costs.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, it means basically how much data is being downloaded from my website to visitors computers. Web page providers offer X amount of bandwidth per month.

With video feeds, my bandwidth costs will increase dramatically.
Especially if it serves to increase traffic to my site.

Damned if I do and Damned if I don't.

Any ideas or suggestions of what I should do would be appreciated.
