2003 04 29 - SARS - What's the big deal?

I live in Toronto, you know that city that the media has decided to focus on lately.

The numbers of SARS deaths pales by comparison with to the number of deaths by pneumonia, heart attacks, aids, driving, guns, being struck by lightning, etc etc...

Could it be that the press is just looking for something new to focus on now that The War on Terror is not as interesting?

Hey, just because I wear my seat belt doesn't mean I'm planning to have a car accident.
