An On-Line Journal

2003 05 22 - Invasion of the dust bunnies

So here I am, the day before my move and while I should be packing I find myself at the computer writing my journal. (This entry).

Since I have the room, I have moved my office to it's new temporary location - My bedroom.

I moved out most of my furniture and was terrified to see how much dust gets under things.
I'm convinced that, if left unattended, dust bunnies will reproduce.

Changing the subject for a second: (If I haven't already - For those who lost count: Three times).

A week ago I received a letter in the mail that did not have the usual Postal office stamp on it that renders the stamp useless.
Because I drive a Jaguar now, I'm looking for any way possible to save money.
I actually peeled off the stamp - With great effort and patience - In one piece for use at a later date.
For safekeeping I put it on my laptop.

Now, every time I type something I find I'm careful not to damage my stamp by rubbing over it with my palm.

This has been going on for a week now and the realization of how stupid this scenario is just hit me.
I don't remember the last time I actually mailed something.

Next thing you'll know, I'll have my furniture covered in clear plastic for preservation's sake.

I'm going to miss this place.
