An On-Line Journal

2003 07 07 - Paul Van Gogh.

For as long as I could remember, I have always wanted to try my hand at oil painting.
I have never studied art, (Outside of High School), and have no idea what's involved and what I need.

I decided to stop putting it off and do a little shopping.

I picked up some paints, a canvas, a selection of brushes and advice.
The girl helping me out was super friendly and very insightful.

She had asked me to bring in the final product when completed.
I'll bet it's because she wants to take a picture of it to hang in the Art Store lunch room under the,
"Shitty Art of the Month" club.
Hell, I'd even be happy to provide her with an autographed picture of me.
(There's no such thing as bad publicity).

Anyhow, we really hit it off, and after I had paid for my stuff she outright thanked me for being such a, "Nice and friendly customer - The best she's ever had".
(You know, I've heard that before.)

I told her she's my all time favorite Art Sales Girl and not to be too surprised if I send her my ear in the mail - Followed by a sly grin and wink.

Still - This didn't get me a discount or phone number.

Enough of this writing business, I need to be getting to my new creation.

What it's going to be - I have no idea.
