An On-Line Journal
by Paul Buceta
2003 09 10 - Paul Buceta - Pulitzer Nominee

I've had a few people tell me that they really like my writing.
This is really strange for me.

When I first started my journal it was to give a very honest account of things in my life. I never thought that it would take on a life of it's own and grow to the level it has. What's more, I was hesitant to start a journal because I never considered myself a good writer. In fact, I used to think I was pretty bad at it.

However, over time, I found that I enjoyed writing about the funny things in my life.
I didn't really care that my grammatical skills were not up to snuff, just as long as I was able to make a regular story/event seem fun by adding a Paul Buceta twist

Also, my responses are always greater the more comedic the entry.

But back to my writing...
A few years ago, during my banking days, I used to write policy and instructional courses for my employer.
My supervisor must have thought I was a complete idiot because she would send back my stuff with red 'X' marks and notes suggesting changes all over it.
I wish I had kept some of those drafts, I'm sure you'd get a big kick out of it.

I've been told, by those who know me, that they can hear me tell it when they read the entries.
I'm very flattered by all the praise and appreciation I've received over time and wanted to send out a big thank you to everyone who signs in regularly.
