An On-Line Journal

2003 09 25 - A Quiet Celebration and A Lot Of Questions.

This weekend marked a milestone for me.

You see, when I first started my web-site I would often fantasize about what it would be like to get a lot of traffic.
So as you can imagine, it was a pleasant surprise to reach 10,000 first time visitors to my site in under a year.

Broken down, this represents about 1000 new visitors per month.

OK, I'll be the first to admit that these numbers are laughable when comparing bigger Internet companies, but I'm talking a small do it yourself basement operation with a shoe string budget.
If this kind of growth continues where will I be in a year from now?

Another nagging question is - Why?
Why are so many people coming to my site?

Is it to read my journal, to look at my photography or videos?
Or is it simply that these people are just dropping by by accident.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining - I love the traffic, I just wish I could get a better grip of what to offer the public (YOU) to make their (YOUR) visit even more enjoyable.

So I ask you the reader to send me in your comments. Please take a moment to drop me a line telling me what you would like to see. I'm especially interested in hearing from those of you who have never contacted me.
