An On-Line Journal

2004 02 04 - Still Undiscovered, But Appreciated.

Every time I get together with my my friends Travis and Dudley I feel like I'm at a comedy club.
I don't know what it is but when the three of us are in the same room we're quick with the one liners.
It's actually interesting to witness; how we can go on talking for hours but not say anything.

Anyhow, last night we all agreed to go see the comedy stylings of The Shehori Brothers.
We figured that if the three of us got together at a comedy club we'd HAVE to have a great time.

(Take a close look at the faces in the pictures behind me)

The first act of the night was one of my favorites.
It involved the Shehori brothers and this one remarkably talented actress named Hillary Doyle.
Ok, ok, she was cute too. So much so that I gave her my card to get in touch.
But honestly, she was quite talented and I'm sure she'll do well.

Another person I met that I gave my card to was Mike 'Nug' Nahrgang or as others might know him Mustard Man.

I read about this guy a while back and remember laughing at the whole thing - It's quite funny.
Shortly afterwards, he started appearing in commercials all the time, and I mean all the time.
In the commercials he substituted for a bride, an expecting father, and a bull rider.
If I had a copy of the commercials, I'd post them here (let me see what I can find).

Anyhow, I really thought this guy was funny, and when I saw him at the club I walked right up and introduced myself.
He seemed like a really nice guy. (I'm wondering if he's reading this - "Hi Nug").

This should also serve to put to rest the rumor that I only had out my cards to attractive ladies.
I hand them out to attractive ladies and Nugs.

I have to admit that at the end of the night I left feeling a little disappointed.
At no time did anyone run up to me asking if I was Paul Buceta.

HOLD THE PHONES!
As I was writing this entry I received my very first donation.
A special thank you to 'you know who you are'.
Not only is it appreciated, but it also provides hope that perhaps I can devote more time to the site.
